DETAIL SPECIFICATION SHEET
HOSE ASSEMBLIES, BREATHING OXYGEN AND AIR,
HOSE KITS AND MATED ASSEMBLIES
Reactivated after 24 July 2006 and may be used for new and existing designs and
acquisitions.
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department
of Defense.
The requirements for acquiring the hose kits or hose assemblies described herein shall
consist of this specification sheet, MIL-DTL-81581, MIL-DTL-81581/1 and MIL-DTL-81581/2.

SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This detail specification sheet covers the additional requirements for hose
assemblies procured as kits where the mated components must be tested for integrity and
interchangeability.

this document to the extent specified herein. Unless otherwise specified, the issues of these
